the keyless entry on my car is horrible i have to be on top of my car to get it to work now being sunday there are no dealerships open to try to get a new module for it i dont think its the actual remote because i happened to find another car at walmart that happens to use the same signal and i was around 15 ft away from that car but i would like to get the module from somewhere else besides a dealer (way too expensive) but i still want to use my same remote is there anyplace online that i can find the part i need

 

Check your battery in your remote, also clean the button contacts, see if that helps.

hold the fob to your chin if it works from a longer distance then it could be the battery or antenna sucks in the fob. you skull will act as an antenna and basically double the distance of the fob in most cases depending on how thick your skull is... no pun intended, lol. im a MECP Advanced autotech for Bestbuy and install all kinds of remote start,keyless and alarm systems. i have a viper 2 way system will all the bells and works up to 1 mile clear line of site. the 2 way means that if someone is breaking into my car i will know if im within range. if ya just wanted a better keyless system you are prop lookin at like 140 ish installed just check out a local BBY.

 

The RKE on my 94 was flaky until I split the fob and bent the battery contacts slightly. Prior to that I tried cleaning the fob "contacts" with no improvement. More battery contact pressure did the trick for me.
If you're determined to get another module i'd try junkyards. 94 and 95 are the only years that will work according to the parts pdf.

 

i tried bending up the contacts a little better but not much i deff am thinking new module if i can get it cheap enough
