Default Keyless entry....

I bought a new remote for my keyless entry and I can successfully get the car into program mode (grounding the 4th to the 8th node on the scan place) but I cannot get it to pickup any remote. I checked the fuses that lead to the keyless reciever they are all good, so is the receiver just done or am i missing something here?

Btw i replaced the remote because the other worked off and on.

+or if anyone at least knows where the receiver is located to test it would be nice

The receiver is mounted in a holder under the right side hinge pillar trim.

After I access the receiver, which I will do tomorrow since it will be warmer, is there a certain way to test it such as jumping a wire to activate the receiver and locks?

i just replaced my fob on my 97 z28 and i had to pull the radio fuse inside the car to program it. i had no issues doing this and accepted the new remote instantly. i still have the directions for it if that would help.

1. turn ignitio switch to off
2. remove the radio fuse
3.cylce the ingnition switch from off to run 3 times within 5 seconds. if done correctly the car will enter programming mode by cycling the door locks. (the doors will lock and unlock).
4. then take your new fob and hold lock and unlock at the same time for 15 seconds. the car will verify and accept the new fob by cycling the door locks again. now your new fob has been set and any other fobs you had for the car were erased
5.if you have more than one fob you need to do step 3 again. you can have up to 4 fobs.
6.turn ignition to off
7. replace the radio fuse.

i hope this works for you. it worked pefectly when i did. the only trouble i had was finding the radio fuse.
