Default Just to Verify, the Crank Position Sensor is under the Harmonic Balancer?

My car will occasionally cut out for a split second when I'm driving, but resume 1/2 a second later without me doing anything.

At first I thought it was my fuel pump, but after replacing it, I still have the problem.

Yesterday it did it again and I got a CEL and a P0336 code (Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance)

Looking at this article I see it matches my symptoms pretty well.

On a 3.8 V6, is the sensor under the Harmonic Balancer?
