Finally my z28 runs mint. hasnt died on me in over 200 miles and trans is great.
I really love this car

this is the 4th gen tech section, please post some tech in the thread or it will be moved to the lounge. let us know what the problem was and what was done to fix it.

 

Good idea, sorry.

Problem one: Transmission slipping terribly.
Fix: full rebuild and upgrades to 4l60e.

Problem 2: Random shutdown when hot while driving, cutoff while driving.
Fix: Replace Optispark, Artic Silver 5 ICM, new plugs and wires, new optispark harness(best price from NewEgg.com)
Also went with a lifetime warranty opti from advanced.

Overheated: burped and bled the coolant system along with new waterpump.

Problem: Fuel pump not priming/no power to the fuel pump sometimes. Also fuel level read full when it wasn't.
Fix : redo some wiring behind the back seat.
