Yeah its better to buy a Camaro with factory t-tops. You don't want to mess up the structural integrity of the car doing it yourself.

Don't do it! It's more work than you might think and as some of the others have already said you could really screw things up if you don't know what your doing. If your going to do it then just pay the money and have a professional do it. It will be worth it in the long run. Plus good luck trying to find some at a junkyard. They will either be busted up or all ready long gone. You might have to order them and in which case your going to spend alot of $$$. Good luck.

Dont the T-top Camaros have sub frame connectors? They must have something to strengthen up the frame.

Ifyou plan onputting alot of horses and torque to the maro then T-tops will weeken the body unless you stiffen it. I've seen a t-top maroripthe bodyat the back part of the t-topover time of hard launches

T-Top camaros don't come with subframe connectors. It's best to make your own and tie in the front and rear sub frame as well as the center of the car where the drive shaft loop screws in, including a bracket to reinforce the rear lower control arm bolts is also good. I saw one from UMI Performance that was a 3 point subframe that looked pretty well designed.
