injector size
What a good size injector for a 383 lt1?
|
stock injectors will get the job done (at least thats what i was told when i was going to build a 383)

what is your rated hp. or estimated hp. theres a post in the how to and faq sticky that tells the estimated injector for given hp. number 25 on the list here https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...62/#post557634

Just take your estimated rwhp and multiply it by 0.08 to get minimum injector size.
Ex. 400 hp x 0.08 = at least 32 lbs. Go the next step up if you want more headroom for future upgrades. If 32 lbs. is your minimum then you should buy 36 or 37 injectors. |
You sure you want to be using rwhp? The calculator craby gave a link to calculates 31.25 lbs. when having 400 hp at the flywheel.

A number of people are running Bosch 32 lb injectors on their LE2 engines with around 400 at the wheels w/o any problems. I'd go a few steps up from rwhp x 0.08.

lloyd recommends 36 lb injector for the setup i have, about 400 rwhp. i am using 30 lb injectors to try and keep some mpg. the car is also tuned for the 30 lb injectors.
