i recently bought a hypertech power programmer from a friend and it is locked anyway to unprogram it?

 

Your friend has to use the programmer to set his car back to factory specs before you can use it on your car. It can't be used to program two different cars. Kinda sneaky of them, eh?

 

THE ONL PROBLEM IS THAT HE SOLD THE CAR!

 

Gee, too bad hedidn't read ALL the directions that came with the Programmer!

Did he sell it somebody around where you live, because maybe you could ask them as a favor to reprogram it. Otherwise I would ask your friend for the money back since he gave it to you in an unworking condition, or try and return/exchange it through the company.
