How to wire from cab to door

I bought a pair of courtesy lights that shine the Chevy logo on the ground when you open the doors. The drivers side was easy as there is a 12V door trigger wire in the door, but nothing in the passenger door. My only option is to run the door trigger from the cab to the door.

Has anyone fished wires from the cab into the door? Just wondering how to get around the connector.

Thanks in advance!

What connector? There is no connector at the door jamb.

What trigger wire? Color?

Where the door hinge is, I believe there is a connector preventing me from fishing the wire through the door. Not the door jam.
I'm going to be using the dome light trigger wire from the PCM and need to get in into my passenger door.

should be able to run it through the speaker wire loom.

FYI, a "jamb" is where the hinges are. I just modded my door mirrors with LED turn signals and ran a wire through each door's jamb cable. It was not hard at all. No connector was in the way. But you will need to remove the kick panels.

Awesome I was able to fish it through, I kept hitting the side thinking there was a connector or something in the boot. Thanks for the correction on door jamb, now I know.
