Default Low beams turn off by themselves

Just like in the title... the low beams on my headlights will just suddenly turn off. The high beams work just fine. Sometimes if I click the high/low switch a couple times they will work again. And it has nothing to do with bumps because they haver turned off when the engine is off and the car is sitting still. BTW its both sides that go off not just one.

Whats the problem friends?!

Which model year? And do they do this at pitch black night time? or dusk? or cloudy day?

Oh good point... but they do this at all times. But definately pitch black night time. And I've also tested it during the day and it's the same thing. 2001

I should have asked this in last post. Does it do it when your lights are left on auto? or when you turn that **** all the way over to ON?

sounds like a loose connection or bad wire. Check your fuses too.

I don't remember if they work with the **** on I'll have to check again tonight thank you. And I'll recheck some fuses. Would there most likely be a problem in the fuse box in the door jam area or the box under the hood?

my car did something similar it wouldn't let the highs stay on or they would turn off all the lights all together. come to find out the headlight switch wasn't connected to my steering column so when i went to turn it between highs and lows the switch just moved instead of moving the switch internals. could also be a faulty switch on the dash.
