How much oil goes in a 1999 SS camaro?

dont have an owners manual yet, and was thinking it was like 5.5q or 6q

i need to know for sure, thanks

5.5qts and let it sit for 5-10min when you check it

Mine takes right about 5.5 qts., I also fill the oil filter to the top a few times to top it off before I put it back on.
