Default alarm help

I need some help with my alarm. I know electronics and wiring pretty well. This is by far my first install. The alarm I bought is a asianwolf mx9000. I am having a couple of problems. First is I am not For sure I have the door locks correct because when I arm or disarm the alarm the locks move but not far enough to actually lock or unlock the doors. The second problem is the remote start is not working. I checked the ohms on my key which is pellet 7 @ 1868 ohms.I bought the vats bypass kit with the alarm and found the resistor it called for. just to test it I just touched each side of it to the vats plug while it was still connected. When the car did not start I put the key in the ignition without removing the resistor and my security light came on. I waited the three min and everything went back to normal with the key. My question is do I need to unplug the plug before it will work right? I will try to add pictures of the lock option i used from the alarm install manual. Any help would be great.

Seems like you are replacing a perfectly sorted out factory security system with a unreliable after market cludge. In my experience, aftermarket alarm system are one of the mainreasons for cars getting stuck for no apparent reason.Good luck.

If you had to disable VATS, the car has the factory security system. Although it does not have an audible alarm, it disables the car and prevents it from starting, and it is harder to defeat than most after market systems. Besides, if you live in a metro area, no one pays any attention to car alarms, in NY city you get ticketed for having a car alrm go off.

I think you must have disable the alarm. There are disarm wires that are connected to the plug that helps in disabling the alarm system.
