oh come now, it can be done. You just need to remove enough stuff and have patience.

Or, be like me, do the drivers side and after a while say to heck with it and bring it somewhere that has a service lift to do the passenger side. If you're doing the plugs, if the wires have not been replaced, you may as well do them too. In for a penny, in for a pound as the saying goes.

You should get a service manual. haynes is good enough for this, chiltons is better.

Changing the spark plugs in any 4th gen is a pain since the engine ia basically halfway under the dashboard. Basically all you need is spark plug socket, anti seize, dielectric grease, and some good spark plugs (I recommend NGK TR-55's) This is a very simple straight and forward task (about as simple as pumping gas) What ever you do don't pay someone $600 to do this, it costs $20-$30 depending on what basics aside from the plugs you don't have. If this is your first time I recommend getting a Chilton manual. You should also check/clean your wire set and coilpacks and re lube the connection on your coilpacks. It might take you a while, but it will get easier and go faster the more you do it.

Try calling a few of the stealerships and see what they say, business is so slow im sure you could try haggling the service advisor down.

I had to have my heater core power flushed, one dealer wanted $200, the other $90.

But I will agree, this job is a major PITA and I would gladly pay for someone to do it.

To the one who said you can do a full tune up in forty five mins; I’m calling you out.
I highly doubt you can do spark plugs and wires in that time. No normal size, grown human can fit their hands where mine can fit. I’m five one, under a 100lbs and my hands are as small as they get. I had trouble getting to the three on the passenger side. I’m more than confident your hands did not get in there.
