How to: 98-02 Taillights into a 93-97
#11
had to put amber bulb where revese is and machined a hole in next to it for reverse. The wired in new brake tail bulb so all red bit is red with tail lights on, looks mint

Agreed that's why when I replaced my damaged taillights, I decided to go with the older style.

CRUNCHY ALL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Very informative, but man you really went about it the hard way. I did the same tail light upgrade on my old 96. The difference between the two light housings is the tab openings where the sockets go into. All I did was trim (with a utility knife) the notched openings on the new housings, and maybe one tab on a socket, so that the old sockets would drop into the holes. Done!

Once you take a look at both housings, and your sockets, I think it will make more sense to you. It was a simple matter of lining the sockets up to the new housing, and seeing where the notched openings needed to get trimmed. The sockets twisted and snapped in just as if they were in the old housings.

when you say crunchy was that because it was just raw peanuts? was there even peanut butter that long ago?

thought the same. no yellow is boss... but I suppose some colors of camaros work with the tricolor...
