had to put amber bulb where revese is and machined a hole in next to it for reverse. The wired in new brake tail bulb so all red bit is red with tail lights on, looks mint

It's just like the old crunchy vs. smooth peanut butter debate. We had nothing but crunchy when I was a kid, and now I prefer the smooth because it's different.

Agreed that's why when I replaced my damaged taillights, I decided to go with the older style.

Do you think you could elaborate a little more for me as I am trying to do the switch but I don't have the harnesses. And did you have any downsides?

Once you take a look at both housings, and your sockets, I think it will make more sense to you. It was a simple matter of lining the sockets up to the new housing, and seeing where the notched openings needed to get trimmed. The sockets twisted and snapped in just as if they were in the old housings.

when you say crunchy was that because it was just raw peanuts? was there even peanut butter that long ago?

So they have the same amount of bulbs and they just fit right into the matching sockets? A friend said when i use the turn signal the brake light might still flash since it would flash on the old tail lights.
