If you cut the vents out how do you keep water out of there? You get your coils soak enough you wont be going anywhere.

the coils are at the front of the engine really the only thing that gets wet is the master cylinder

Ya I know but get some that are super bright. Bright enough to make it look like it's day time.

Ya the coils are more to the center of the vents. The PCM on the other hand is a little closer.

3800 the coils are half way under the cowl. You let alot water in there you will have probelms long term. If we are talking a weekend sunny day driver only then no problems. I am not guessing here. I have seen many hoods replaced because the owners did not understand this and had tons of issues after installing some scoop. A lot of us guys used to have two hoods. One for normal driving and one that was cut up.

i do have pics but nothing much different i didnt cut the insolation i actually used it to hide the wires all i did was take the black plastic off and drill two holes in the side to slide the once led tube now ccfl tube through and silicone the holes

Ya your right gorn. I had a closer look today in the day light. A guy would have to make some form of deflector to protect the coil packs.

I'm more interested in what mikey did for his insolation with the open vents. I'm more of a guy who likes my car to be hidden at night.
