Default Hola amigos!

Whats up guys? right so ive been lurking for a while because about two months ago i bought (or financed) an almost new condition 97 rs, all stock or it was.

Sweet right, with the t tops and the gray interior. 3.8 o corse. i think its got posi but im not sure. Fun as can be in the rain . i put some bosch icon wipers on and was wondering about, mine leaves a streak on the passenger side right in the middle of the wipe. maybe a bad wiper arm? old wiper did too. and does anyone make a fully lock up torque converter. like i want to hit the gas and it go rrrrrr clunk. and yank off. Anyway enough of my talking. hope everyones doing good and i hope can have a productive stay here.

ps. I came from a 92 honda prelude that had a badass vtec motor swap. and im sad to say it was a little faster. once i killed the rev limiter i hit 137. and faster 0-60 so i will have to speed my camaro up some later

Sorry my man im a bit of a period ***** lol. or if you mean the part about a faster honda it really was. had big wide toyos, and an h22a jdm motor with a CIA Full open exhaust, race muffler. like 220 hp stock. with the upgrades i think it was close too 190 whp at 6500? idk. but it didnt kick in untill 5500 then it redlined at 7500. ima get it back running but focus on this first.

to be honest i wish i had just replaced the timing belt. i miss the raw mechanical feel versus the luxury feel of the Camaro. but hopefully ill get a set of race buckets with some cool 4 point harnneses, and a few upgrades to bump up on power. i also hate the auto, but whatcha gonna do?

If you lock the converter early like you're talking about, you will eventually hear a "rrrrrr clunk" as the innards break. The lockup clutch isn't designed to handle low end torque like that, which is why the converter is controlled to lock up once the car is loafing along in 4th gear.

can have the valve body modified or do it yourself. also be a good idea to change the servo to a vette one. heres a site to look at.

ALLRIGHTY THEN. so instead of tearing mine to pieces is there a better auto tranny i can steal out of a junkyard rebuild with a shift kit and throw under there without MAJOR modification. Me and my grandpa Whos been doing chevys since they first came around can do just about anything and have a big shop and all. But im just wondering if its even worth it really? Can/should i just get a better TC or should i go whole tranny set?

you should have a 4l60e but it would be worth checking to make sure. they are a good trany, i was just sayin if you want a harder shift you can mod your valve body and if you do that its a good idea to change the servo.
