Default Help with front turn signals

Hi we are new to this website and we are also owners of a 1997 RS with the 3800 and auto trans. We bought the car a year ago and are just about finished with it but have an issue: only sometimes the front signals work, and it's either the left or right one, but never both in sequence. The rear signals work perfect every time, and we replaced the front light sockets and the flasher relay. I did notice that when I disconnected the ground wire on the left front, the bulb dimmed but did not go out completely. I checked the wire harness under the dash and under the hood and didn't see anything wrong. I am wondering if it's the daytime running light module? I cannot come up with any other explanation. Any ideas???

i would look at the grounds first. follow the harness up from the light watching for any damges, check and clean all the connections along the way.

BCM controls the DRLs and in this case it is prolly your issue. Tho this is more than likely a either a software issue or corrosion on the BCM plug or on the PC board. Remove the BCM and check for corrosion, clean as needed with a stiff plastic brush and electrical contact cleaner. Make sure to dry the BCM really well before applying power.

Oh the light going dim when you removed the ground is normal. The light will simply find another ground, which has a lower potential difference so therefore the light will not be as bright.
