Default Hello F-bodies

I just recently bought a 98 camaro coupe with the 3.8L v6.She will be a project for my commuting to make it as fun as possible without breaking the bank or my wife's patience. I need advice on a couple of things. First, the tint on the back window peeled off so i finished killing it. However the glue film is still attached. Since it is winter, how do I go about removing it since not many hot sunny days available. Second, how the hell do you get the shoft **** off? that thing is tighter than I imagined. Third, CAI suggestions if any. Thanks.[&:]

Hello 98coupe welcome and thanks for joing CF. Ammonia or an ammonia based cleaning agent should get your tint glue off. If you have an automatic transmission then there is a pin holding the shift **** in on the part facing the front console/HVAC controls (if you have a manual trans then someone else please chime in) For your intake I personally think a good reusable air filter and a Whisper Motorsports air lid is sufficient. Some people might say otherwise, and it also depends on what else you have planned to do to your car.

I like the whisper lid my self. Great function and looks for 180 bucks and comes with K&N filter. If you are set on going to a CIA set up then SLP and arizona speed and marine make good intakes. Personaly i like the lid it looks clean and functions just as well as any CIA.

Thanks for the quick responses. I will go the whisper lid ,,I like the clean look as well. Any links to order one?
I have a 5spd manual and the freaking **** is tight,,it wont budge and I guess i will have to try the vise grips (with cover cloth) solution to get a better grip.

They are listed as 139.99 i am not sure if it comes with the K&N with that or not. I paid 180.00 for mine with K&N and i would recomend adding the filter for best results.

Try goo-be-gone, or Goof-Off. Any "goo" removing agent should work.
