If you can afford them, Kooks seems to be one of the best.

I'm running Pacesetter coated LT headers with Lane's TD flo-pro twisters dumping behind the front seats, Love 'em!

I would say Kooks if you want the best, and Dynatech comes in for a close second, especially on an LSX car. Their benefit over Pacesetter, although more expensive, is that they are a tuned long tube that is all stainless construction. The tuning is going to get you more low end torque. The quality of the bends and collector are also going to be higher on the Kooks and Dynatech systems.

Slick's wheels look like 18" Chrome C6 Corvette replica wheels. You can get them off of ebay or any retailer that sells O.E. Concepts wheels.

What do you all think of SLP's New 98-02 Tuned Length Headers?:

So it comes down to, do you want:
a. more low to mid rpm power?
b. more mid to upper rpm power?

Interesting results:

http://www.slponline.com/coming_soon_30046_47_48.asp

SLP's New "Long Tube" Headers are another option to our current popular "Tuned Length" Headers for your 1998-2002 LS F-Body. This new Long Tube Design by SLP Performance Parts supports more Mid to Upper RPM power compared to the Tuned Length Design. This gives you the option to pick the header design that is best suited for your application. The New Long Tube Headers will produce +11 HP and + 10 ft-lbs in the 4800-6200 RPM Range compared to the Tuned Length Design. As the current Tuned Length Design will produce +7 HP and + 12 ft-lbs additional in the 2600-3400 RPM range compared to the New Long Tube Header Design.

YES there is a difference between a "TUNED LENGTH HEADER" and a "LONG TUBE HEADER". A Tuned Length Header as can be seen on the dyno graph below has primary lengths designed to provide power at a certain RPM band. In the case of the SLP Tuned Length Header 2500-4000 RPM. While a Long Tube Header has as long as possible primaries to provide the best possible gain in the higher RPM ranges.

SLP PERFORMANCE PARTS WILL CONTINUE TO OFFER BOTH HEADER DESIGNS
AS NOT ONE HEADER DESIGN IS PERFECT FOR ALL APPLICATIONS.

SLP ALWAYS HAS YOU, OUR CUSTOMERS, IN MIND FIRST

DYNO RESULTS:
Test Vehicle: 1998-2002 F-Body

SLP Long Tube Header vs. SLP Tuned Length Header
(NO OTHER CHANGES)

To tell you the truth, I think SLP headers are too expensive for what you get. They have "SLP" on them and that makes them expensive. I would still recommend first Kooks and then Dynatech. It is true that a header can only be tuned for a certain RPM band, but I think that Kooks and Dynatech put enough time and research into it so they can attempt to produce a header that gives the best overall performance. Just like AFR with heads, they go for the best overall performnace, not necessarily peak performance, Kooks and Dynatech go the same way with headers.
