Default headers installation

I was wondering if anyone could give some input on putting headers on my z. At the moment theengine is out so would I be better off bolting them as theengine goes in or after its in? thanks for any help.

what motor is it? lt or ls?

on my ls1 i had lots of clearance. only issue was driver side between steering rack and block. you can either lift block a little or remove rack (in ur case this is already done.)

i would put the motor down, install the headers, then finish bolting up the motor. the engine sits so far under the windshield i wouldnt want to have to tip that thing back with LT headers sticking off of it. that would suck

motor into car, bolt in headers, bolt down motor. in that order

well, that would depend on if he droped it through the bottom, or pulled in through the top. either way i would bolt them on first and drop it in. thats how i did it, no problems

I would suggest bolting them on after it's in, just me...
