yea its an lt1. rs are just some initials in use. Im going to get under there and check the wires out again and swap them out. I have stock manifolds so its kind of tough to keep them from touching the exhaust. Theyre wrapped with the heat tape

ok back again. Finally going to get the wires done this weekend but first Im curious does it make a difference if brand of the wires is the same as the opti? Im wondering if that would help the resistance?

no it does not matter 8mm is good 9mm better new wires are better then old ones change the plugs too ,i got some opti from Auto zone the cut yourself kind then you can put them where you want them away from to much heat ,an good looms, they were like 25.00 not sure what you meen about wraping plug wires with the righ looms you wont need to ,i am not sure we got down to the hard thud at cold start ,hope that helps ,best thing you can do is get video an let the guys hear the sound ,

ok i have a delphi opti on mine, was thinking of getting some delphi wires to match i think they were 7mm. Figured it would help the currents and whatnot. That stumble sound is hard to get on camera its something you have to be there to feel. Im working on getting a diagnosis on it and i will post results once its done. Thanks for the help

i would not get anything less then 8mm an at Autozone the opti are only like 24,99 ,cut to legnth yourself ,so you want have then laying on anything to hot get about 3 loom for each side ,an keep the above the manifolds an covers, standard wires will not give more legnth an it may take more time ,but you can make then longer an delphi is like 2 times the price ,/? how you pay for the distributor ,plugs too ,when you do a tune up,you talked about them laying on things they should not be ,then make you own is the better way to do for any sbc

if you want to run wires the same as stock you will want stock sized wire. larger wire is a pita to get in the same spaces.

Like i was saying before this is the best quality of the thud, its not a sound its more of a feeling. But it does feel like something gets stuck. The thud happens just before the car turns over at the 11 second mark. I get the same quality in or out the car so standing outside of it wouldnt make a difference. Thanks

do a starter draw test, could be a dead spot in the rotor. also might try taking the starter out and checking the drive teeth, see if any are damaged.
