35mm & 21mm

Asked him why he is getting rid of them and he said he bought new "red" ones.

Should I be concerned that they have to much flex or anything?

Is this overkill for my V6? I think my stock bars are 28mm - 15mm

I think you will love them, are both hollow? Strano's are (22mm rear, same size front) and its great for weight savings... The car will be much flatter on corners. I have Stano's on my SS - love then, and SS sways on my RS- much better than stock!

The hollow bars tend to crack with age. If the very ends of that bars are cracks they will not last much longer. The 35MM solid seem to me like a lot of weight for a V6 to push around. Unless your pushing some serious shocks and rubber I find it hard to believe you would notice much different between a 32 hollow and 35 solid.

Woa, just realized the OP said solid -- I would not put a 35mm solid bar on my car -- if you are, go with hollow! That's a heavy bar! Get Strano's front bar instead, sell that heavy one.

This is an SLP package.. Solid cant be a bad thing. this setup came complete with only the best. Including koni shocks. They must have chose solid front for a reason. I would think most aftermarket bars are hollow for cost reasons.

LOL, the last car that came with solids from SLP was 10 or more years ago -- the SS front sway from GM are hollow. Strano's front and back are hollow -- he has won autocross national events with those sways.

Yes, Koni SAs are probably the best 4th Gen shocks for the price...

Nothing wrong with hollows, but solids way a LOT. You'd be foolish to add that extra weight, IMHO.

It does't weigh that much... The total difference in weight I probably flutuate with bowel movements. I dont think its foolish at all.. I considered getting all kinds of aftermarket suspension pieces. If I happen to find some good used parts for dirt cheap ill consider it, but what real benefit is it going to give me.. At this point, the only things im going to get are shocks and springs for 700$ - ive already spend hundreds on bushings and hub bearings. The cost of aftermarket part are crazy high..

- set of sways - 500 bucks
- upper and lower tubular A,arms - 1000
- k-member 700
Etc etc

And lets be honest, if I spend that extra few thousand bucks, am I really gonna notice that much of a difference??

Im going for cost effeciency, bang for the buck

It cost more to make hollow bars then solid. Check out all your low end cars, they all have soilds including the base Z28. Gm only did the hollow 32 as an upgrade, and you paid for it. The reason they build hollow bars is because of the weight.

You can buy the GM SS 32 mm hollow sway bar for $90 on ebay new and from what I read anything over 19MM in the back without the Koni shocks and touring type tires will make your car loose and and not handle as well as it does now. How great the front handles turns will not matter if the car is facing the wrong way at the end of the turn.
