Default Good buy?

Looking into this camaro...
http://inventory.rufautocentre.com/c...39458&d_id=947
Checked the RPO codes and everything is good on the SS/SLP sides
Would have liked the 6 speed but curious about the automatic trannys on these...

Any info or advice greatly appreciated.

Looks like a good deal to me, but you're right. A 6-speed would be nice. I own a 2002 Z28 with an automatic and i've had no problems with it at 90,000 miles.

If your willing to pay that much you should wait and get what you want. GMs automatic is as good as any out there. It is subject to how it is used and can be made a lot better with a rebuild.

Thaks for the comment on the monte, think I've seen you around the monte forum. Nice lookin camaro to and of course love the monte! Keep the spirit alive. I hear ya on getting what I want. I want something that when I want to romp on it I can thats why I was asking about the automatics. I'm a little leary of my lead foot and a six speed LOL! I've always been partial to manual in a hot rod although my MC is automatic. I also liked the color cuz it was a little less obvious to the po-pos than red although I like red, again the lead foot. Thanks for the advice and keep it coming. Beautiful 67 by the way!

it sure is pretty. But I agree with the above posts saying that if it's not exactly what you want, don't get it. But if it was me, I'd already have picked it up haha.

TEXSS, We are a lot alike. I two love sticks (67 & 96 are both sticks) and the only automatic I was ever proud of was my 86 Monte SS, which served me as my daily driver up till 2007 (165K on it). I sold it to a friend and he is restoring it.

http://www.empiremotorcars.net/10371...et_Camaro.html Went to look at this one yesterday. What a rip off. Thought it was nice but shady lot so I ran the VIN. Come to find out this car was one on a ford lot for 16,000. I had called to look at it but it was already sold. This place had bought it and now they want almost 21,000. I offered 17,500 but he wouldn't bite. I told him 18 max and he got wishy washy so I showed him my info and he replied well it's a buisness. I am not paying you 5,000 in profit so I walked.
