okay went and took one off a 96 last night (dont worry i gave the man some money for it) the wipers gave hell, but i noticed that the cowl had no gaps whatsoever, the guy was nice enough to bring water and throw it on, the water went over the cowl not under it to drain, when i pulled it off i noticed like there was a little clear glue like stuff that kept the cowl to the glass, so maybe this is what we`ve been missing? going to play with it on mine tonight, if anyone knows the name of the clear glue like stuff- POST PLEASE!

not sure what you are talking about with the clear glue. I was the first person to ever remove my cowl and there was nothing on the back of it. Mine sits right on the glass if I get it in the channel on the sides of the windshield near the rear view mirror area. If it does not fit in that channel then it will not lay down on the glass right.

it fits in the hooks on the side by the mirrors but raises as it goes lower and doesnt sit flush allowing the water to come through
