Fuel Line Leak

I'll start with the prerequisite 'I'm not a mechanic'.

I have a leak in my fuel line. This is the nylon one. Do I need the entire fuel rail, should I splice some new line in with this, how do I disconnect the fuel line (Chilton guide is not clear at all to me), and if I'm asking these questions should I just have a mechanic do it?

is it cracked? is it leaking from the fitting or the hose connection? did you try putting a clamp on it?

Hose ..

if the hose is not cracked,,,to redo the connection you will need to remove the hose from the metel quick connect and cut it, first heat it up in boiling water so it doesnt crack the plastic hose. it should slide off the connector, if not carefully cut it and remove. cut back and heat the hose again and push it on the connector. i would put a hose clamp on it when done. like i said you may want to try a small hose clam to see if it cures it.
