www.ls1sounds.com you can listen to all different sorts of exhaust systems and can pick the one you think sounds the best. borla is an excellent choice because you can vary the sound it makes, but yes you'll pay for it. i'd go to that site and listen and pick your favorite

I tried to listen to them forever before i decided on mine. I never went to LS1 sounds but 90% of the sounds ilistened 2 were useless because of low quality. unless they have very high quality recordings you really need to hear it in real life i think. Also make sure you hear it with the car accelerating, not just revinv, it's a totally different sound. I really liked the Borla, but I think I liked the loundmouth (SLP) just a smidge more (louder, deeper) and it's WAAAY cheaper.

As far as power goes, I've never had my car on a dyno but I could feel the difference, not huge, but it's there. And I wouldn't think that any other system could flow better, there is no muffler on the loudmouth, it's just a resinator with nothing at all blocking the flow, is practically just a 2 1/2 foot section of pipe thats a couple inches bigger, IDK how it makes it sound so cool, but it does.

thanks for your suggestions, yeah, thats kinda interesting with the loudmouth system, my camaro's exhaust tips come out right in the middle kinda like a corvette and i like the way it looks. that would be great if i did not have to change the mufflers. do you also have slp's headers for your car?

I bought headers and hi flow 3" cats and made my own dual 3" exhaust and didn't use mufflers, the cats quiet it down a lot, sounds good at idle but isn't loud, once you're on the gas though it sounds great. I have dynatech headers and car sound 3" cats. The pipe to make the exhaust was under 100 bucks and all of it tucks up under my subframes, lowest part of the exhaust is actually the driver side header. Took me about 3 or 4 hours start to finish.
