Default Exhaust for my 94 3.6

I was just wondering about giving my car the dual exhaust look. I was thinking about doing this by changing the muffler. I am going to get a Flowmaster single in dual out, maybe a 40 or 80 series? And then add some tips. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or words of advice?

Flowmasters don't sound good on v6s at all. They get really flappy and raspy sounding at higher rpms. Magnaflows are good for that nice deep grumble. I put a Magnaflow muffler on my sixer with dual tail pipes. It took some fabrication for the tail pipes, but it works and sounds really good.

Oh, and what's a 3.6?

Oops, I meant 3.4. So I should go with a Magnaflow muffler? Does anyone know the part number to a good single in/dual out Magnaflow muffler?

I would go for the Magnaflow, but it's ultimately up to you and what you want to spend. A muffler isn't expensive at all.

I agree, magnaflow is the way to go. Flowmasters do sound bad on v6s. I have the 40 series, sound great at idle, but after you get above 4k rpms, it sounds like....i have a muffler filled with a bunch of broken glass lol.

And for the part, i would go to summitracing.com They'll hook you up, idk your budget, but i would really, really consider saving up for the magnaflow catback with the 3-3 1/2 inch dual tips. It looks and sounds great

ok, I will go with the Magnaflow muffler. That catback looks wicked but I was looking to put about half that into my muffler project. Whats the difference in just putting a dual outlet muffler on and a catback?
