96 3.8 manual 5 speed. Have a wierd problem. When i start the car it ticks very lightly. Just replaced rod bearings about two days ago. Changed oil put in Mobil 1 synthetic n a mobil1 filter. Added sea foam to gas pcv and crank. Havent even put 20 miles on it yet. got the tick down to just about nothing left. Now i have a bigger prob. its knocking every once in a while when i hit the gas. it goes away for a little while but then it returns. When i push the clutch in it makes the "knock" sound different. Sometimes its worse then other times it almost sounds as if you are hearing it echo. while in gear it acts like it hesitates when u hit the gas. Just recently i put it in gear n it sounds like a metal on metal squeal.. kinda like when your drilling metal with a dull bit. Im not sure what it is though. Any help would be appreciated. please be gentle ive already had to drop the motor once already for the rod bearings.

 

may be the thowout bearing or clutch. it would be best to try and locate the noise area.
