Default Engine Remove/Replace

alrighty so im sure this has been asked a lot but i cant seem to find it...i am a senior in high school and i want to pull my ls1 out of my 98 camaro ss and from my understanding its easier dropping the engine out the bottem instead of taking it out of the hood...anyways i was wondering how difficult of a task it is and some tips maybe?

Shoot me a PM with a email. I can send you a PDF of a step by step guild tomorrow.

If you go out the bottom you need room. Don't forget what you are pulling out is just as wide as the car itself.

If you wouldnt mind I also would like to know what's involved, and if its possible to pull it out the top. (Mine's a 3800, not an LS1, if that matters)

yes u can pull it either way. from what ive read its supposed to be easier to do it from the bottom. gorn has done it from the top and has first hand experiance from that. musicman has just done his from under and says thats the way to go. the issue is what equipment do u have. the two ways require different tools.

Nope, I went out the bottom also. I was told since I was doing headers and a clutch it was the way to go.

I sent the OP the PDF I have. I have no clue why he did not get it. I got no errors back in the email. Masospaghetti PM me your email, I will send it to you.
