Is it loose when you pull it up? could be the catch pin is broke. if it cranks up yet does nothing then maybe the line is a bit messed up

u will need to check to see if the ebrake cable is broke. have someone put the e brake on while u are looking under the car by one of the back wheels. there should be a steel cable that goes into the brakes at the backside, if the cable is moving then it could just need to be adjusted.

what somes times works to reset your hand brake is to reverse and slam your break on (pedal) and at the same time pull on your hand brake. When your hand brake is set properly you should only be able to pull it up aprox 3 inches, and there should be a fair bit of resistance. Let me know if it works.

an easy way to make it work if the pin isn't broken is to just replace the cable, it's a quick fix but try that reverse thing and see if it works.

that reverse thing works on hub brakes only. theres a adjustment wheel that turns when the brakes are put on in reverse and then forward. disk brakes are self adjusting as they wear. if u have disk brakes u will need to adjust your e brake if the cable is not broke. if u got a book look it up it should tell u the proper way of adjusting.
