Default electrical turn signal issue

hey guys, the wife has a 99 v6 and the car runs great. The problem we are having with it right now is the turn signals are buring out quick. we have had the car 1-1/2 years i have replaced the drivers side twice and the pass side once and the drivers side is out again. I looks like it has been hot with the plastic plugs.. and they look a little brittle. is this common? i am thinking i may have to change these plugs and these are not easy to get to.
any info would be good..

thanks

Front or back? Then front socket in my '97 literally crumbled apart when i took them out. Small lens, parking light is on ALL the time = lots of heat = early death to plastic. And then there are the back lenses that fill with water and corrode the sockets. Hold onto your wallet when buying new sockets. If you can find the front ones for less than $40 each let me know. Now my passenger rear turn signal shuts off if you hit the brakes and the brake light doesn't come on. The parking light is also really dim. The socket is full of rust so I'm gonna be replacing that one soon.

if the bulb is burning out quickly, buy a better quality bulb. you pay for what you get. if you need a socket, go to a junkyard and get a handful for $5

thanks guys. i thinnk i am going to need a new lens and maybe a new socket. the fact that you have to get to these from the bottom sucks as well.. it would be sooo much easier to reach in from the top and change em..

This happened to me also, and I still need to get it fixed. My front turn signal stays solid and doesn't blink. I've replaced the bulb, and it worked for about 3 days, then went back to staying solid. And my automatic headlights don't come on automatically anymore.
