Electrical Issues??
Ok guys I'll start from the beginning, I was driving (1995 Z28) to a friends house and my sound system started cutting out and getting pretty bad randomly. But it's been losing volume power and going back to normal frequently lately. I got to her house and opened the door and the alarm began going off(My alarm hasn't worked in 4+ months because the remote broke so I couldn't even turn it on). Out of fury I cut the siren wires, ripped apart my underside of the dash and removed the fuses from the alarm box because it kept ticking and activating. I hoped maybe that would help with the sound system issue but the power to the speakers keep going away. I'll be driving and listening to music then it just goes away, if i turn the volume to max I can faintly here the music, then turn it back down and push the "lock or unlock" doors button, or the power window buttons or even use the blinkers and the speakers begin emitting the music at normal levels but only for a few seconds then it all goes away again. Yes I have amps and subs. Subs seem to continue working when the speakers are not. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue or atleast what the issue is? Sorry it's kinda alot to read but it's a weird problem so thanks to anyone that can help and I'll answer any questions you may have if it'll help.

I agree with Craby, it sounds like a BCM issue. If it was JUST a radio issue, I might say it is a ground problem. Since it is a radio AND alarm issue, I think BCM (Since that is the thing that controls both)
Does your ignition key have a resistor chip in it?

Off my topic but can you guys tell me what the little hose there is? It comes off the side of my air intake from the Air filter. It is a Cold air intake also. The hose is insanely pinched and I have no idea how any air could be getting through it. I was going to check my air filter but I realized there is a dozen things I have to undo and I don't have the time to do it before work today.

The 95 does not have a BCM module, but uses a RAP module. The RAP (retained accessory power) provides power to the electrical accessories such as radio and power windows and locks. The 96 and newer use the BCM, which incorporates the RAP, plus a bunch of other functions.

thats the air intake for the a i r system. should go to a exhautst emission air pump just below that. you can check the air filter by tanking the plastic cover from the bottom.
