door handle broken
The outside door handle on my drivers side went out today- the outside handle has no more "tension" when you pull on it just kind of flops around. It looks like the little white plastic clip behind the handle itself snapped, but I'm not really sure. The inside stillworks fine. What is involved in fixing it? Should I goget a new handle then proceed with taking my door panel off to see what is inside or is there an easier way? Also; if I decide to just let someone else deal with it how much should I be looking at to pay someone to fix it?

RE: door handle broken
i had the same thing happen to my car, it started with the outiside nd eventually the inside broke too, nd i was stuck climbin threw the window, but if you take your door pannel nd have something long nd sturdy, thes a metal bar that is bent at the end nd it goes back to where the outside door handle is right below it, nd there is a metal mechanism that opens the door, nd theres a whole in it where the bent end of the metal bar goest threw, nd youll have to get a clip to hold it there

RE: door handle broken
WELL NOONE WILL FIX THAT EXCEPT MEYBE THE DEALER AND U DONT WANNA PAY A TON OF MONEY FOR SOMTHING THAT IS LITERALY A 1 MINUTE FIX OR LESS(PROVIDING THE DOORS ALREADY OFF)
here a picture for you lol its junky but might give you a idea? lol im better if i see pictures so hopfully it helps ya
its not hard to fix at all its extremely easy.. the rod coming from the locking switch will go all the way to the door handle. behind the door handle there is a hole that that rod goes into. the clip u had that broke used to hold the rod in that hole.
so get the rod itll be hanging in the door grab it and attach it right back to the door handle then take a zip tie and put the zip tie arouns the hole in the handle and around the rod going into the door handle.
this will hold the rod in the door handle and it will now open yer door...
