I see imitation rotors on the rear wheels. Is that a real SS?

Looks mostly like a 98. 98 was only year with black sail panels, after that sail panels were color matched. Only thing is though, the mirrors are painted. Those too were left black in 98.

I thought painted side mirrors was an available option? My 96 had body color mirrors. If not, the owner of this car could have painted the side mirrors when the tail light and headlight covers, added on ground effects, and aftermarket front bumper cover was done.

failed might be correct.

i do think this car was repainted though.

Pretty tough to tell from the pics as the car looks to have some aftermarket mods done.

Easiest way would be to lookup the VIN. You could also verify that it is a real SS that way.

was your 96 a t-top or hardtop? the hardtops top was body color so the mirrors were as well. t-tops had the black painted stuff.
