which diagnostic tool will work
Dabo here,I have a 95 Z28, 5.7. Ses light is on, I went and bought a Innova 3120d diagnostic tool, it wont work on my car. what I am trying to find out is which one will work on this car? I have spent hours reading on here with a lot of good answers. it appears that the Actron cp9185 or 9145 would be the best bet. But I want to get one that will work straight out of the box.

Your car has an OBDI computer, but the diagnostic connector is configured for OBDII. You need a scanner that is capable of OBDI or OBDI and OBDII, and an appropriate cable.

Needs only your pc and a $55 cable (or make one for $20). The software is free. Can do trouble codes, real time data, charting, datalogging, actuators, ABS and SIR support.
