Nice. Your pink velvet fedora should go quite well with that car! lol

But seriously. You do have a custom paint job that cost someone a lot of $$$. Have you tried tracing the Camaro's owners and ask them.

How do you trace owners?

If you know someone at the DMV, they can sometimes run the VIN to see the owners names. I believe in some cases the dealer can do this also

Ahhhh the good old days when you could send 10 bux to the state and they give you microfilm copies of previous owner registration info, name and address. But with today's federal privacy laws, those days are over. Unless you have some legal reason to need that information, you're not going to get it. So unless you're a cop, FBI, or a private investigator, you're outta luck. And if you "know someone" who will give you that information, just because you're curious, they're not doing it legally. You can talk to the previous owner, and see if he has any info about the person he bought the car from. I always make a copy of the old title when I buy a car, so you never know.

I don't think even PI's can get the info, If you hang around the 1st gen sights you see guys willing to pay real money to find original owners. A signed authenticated letter from the orignal owner of the car and proof he owned it is one of the best ways to prove a car is original. It can add alot of Value to a mint car. If he has a Pic of him with the car new you are gold. We are talking 10K in some cases.

You can convince people to risk their jobs and commit a felony? That is impressive.
