Default Cruise Control doesn't engage (brake lights all work)

I have a 1997 Z28, all stock, with a cruise control that hasn't worked for years.

The 3rd brake light is working properly.

any idea on where to look?

Both bulbs in the 3rd brake light are working? Have you checked the fuses? Make sure that the cables are correct on the tb?

come to think about it... where is the cruse module on the 4th gens? anyways i agree with mikey check your fuses and make sure the cruise cable is tight to the tb its adjustable and if its worn it could cause the cruise to not work
