Check your third brake light (the one in the spoiler), and make sure they're not burned out. No light comes on when you use the cruise anyways.

How about under the hood. There should be two cables going to the throttle body lever. One for the pedal, and one for the cruise control. Perhaps it's disconnected.

both cables are connected. i started there and worked my way down to the cruise moduel and began checking voltage on all the pins but then i got busy at work and had too put my car off.

I have problems with my cruise too. For me it depends on the weather because if it's cool out it kicks right into cruise but if it's warm ~80+ I have to giggle the switch and turn it on and off a few times for it to work and sometimes it ends up not working at all. I don't know if this a common problem or not, but I don't know how to fix it.
