Wow, wouldn't have expected that. Big old cars like that were always considered "tanks". However, I wouldn't want to sacrifice my fun driving an old car with the fear that I'm going to die in a crash. And if you want to be realistic, people who drive old classic cars tend to drive more defensively than someone who feels they can be more careless because they are indestructible in a newer car that will "save" them. Case in point, I never shave, put on my makeup, lipstick, nail polish, or text while driving the Camaro.

im in awe, look how they just ruined that classic....least they didnt use a camaro i always thought the older cars can take it as well as give it, my pop had a '86 sable that was a magnet for imports, and anytime it happened all the bull would have is some scratches or a cracked light, THAT thing was a tank. the imports werent so lucky

Makes a good case for airbags!
This is why we bought my 18 yr old a 2003 truck vs a 72.
I told him we should get an old car for the project/cruiser and have the airbag car for the daily driver.
There's an underlying question here too: who in their right mind would intentionally trash a nice 59? I guess a money- hungry insurance co or consumer report co maybe.
Does that make it wrong that i enjoyed watching it?....
Hmmm...
Well thanks for posting it.

Whats up with the pile of dust/rust/sawdust that is coming out of the bottom of the Bel Air (00:24, 01:06)? Looks like the frame has been gutted. That just doesn't seem right for what should be a body on full frame car crashing into a unibody.
