Never heard any Mustang N/A be louder than an F-body. Even with long tubes, OR/X, the works.... The 4.6 just isn't loud... Stick long tubes on an LS1 with an OR/Y and people will hear you 2 miles away lol

I have to agree with noise, I've never heard a stang louder than a camaro both with very free flowing exhausts.
Speedwise, the camaro has like.. 20 less horsepower stock and is less weight.. should be about the same speed.
As for money.. everyone else is right. F-bodies will plummet, and your probably gonna be safe. Stick with the stang.

sorry, the 5.7 is louder than the 4.6, at least in my yard.
I know I went off topic but it seems you were talking about the exhaust a bit and then wanted to know about trading. Stick with the stang if you can tolerate the headrests. I'm serious, they are the worst seats in any car I've owned.

I'm agreeing with everyone that one, this doesn't make financial sense, and two the exhaust thing sounds like an excuse. Your exhaust can be as loud or as quiet as you want (to a point of course). If you want a loud F-body run long tubes and an X-Pipe with axle dumps, you'll set off car alarms all day long. If you want the stang quieter get a different exhaust system for it. As far as power goes, Spec put down similar numbers to what you're making with an aftermarket intake and exhaust. If you're looking for high 11's (providing you can drive) you need intake, full exhaust and a mild cam.
