Hello Camaroforums.com!
My name is Chris. I AM mechanically inclined. Hopefully I prepared enough info in this thread for ya'll.
Car: 94 Camaro V6 Autotragic
Problem: Coolant is leaking out of this piece.
God forbid it to be easy for me...
I need confirmation on choosing WTH this part is.
Part Description: PLUG ENG BLK COOL DRN HOLE,1/4-18X0.56,STEEL,PC,(ENG BLK COOL DRN HOLE),(ALL MODELS ALL YEARS),(1/4-18X0.56),(STEEL)
Key: 113
Part Number: 084945
Source: Part Detail
Some advise about how I could take it out. (Drilling it, pulling it, buying new plug, and then hammering it back in) I would have never thought of it leaking here... SMH
Thanks in advance.
-Chris

Advance Auto Parts: Search Results
Here's a link for the plug you need on Advance Auto Parts. You can easily get this at Napa, Autozone, O'Reilly's, I just picked Advance because I work there.
Anyways, it's your freeze plug. I'm pretty certain the only way you're going to be able to fix that correctly, is by removing the engine. Freeze plugs are press fit and I don't see you fitting a mallet in there...even if you removed the starter. Not saying it can't be done...but in the long run, it'd be better to just pull the engine and fix it.

you dont need to pull the motor to fix that. worst case even if it falls inside the block it wont go anywhere or hurt anything you should be able to hit it on one side and knock it loose and it turn outwards then u can pull it out. just put some indian head glue on the new one when u put a new one in they also make adjustable rubber ones they work good.they have a nut on them u just stick it in and tighten it up....very simple fix my friend.

Yeah gofast, I picked up a rubber replacement plug, but this thing isnt budging! Tomorrow in the AM, Im gonna get a torch and a small pry bar set. This is how much I mangled it so far. Hahahahah
MKCoconuts. I dont have to pull the motor, I should be fine. Its just annoying trying to figure out how to take this **** out!

I didn't say you had to pull the motor. I just said that it's much easier to do correctly given the limited space with the engine in the car. Make sure you get the edges of that plug and be thankful it wasn't a rear one. Then you'd either have to pull the engine or drop the tranny.

Get a long punch, bar, or heavt screw driver and put it on the side of the freeze plug not the center, hit it with a hammer and it will turn in the hole like a butter fly valve, then pull it out with channel locks or the such
