Clutch Issues
I have a 95 3.4. I just replaced the slave cylinder yesterday and I am still having the same problem. It will not hold pressure. After a couple of seconds of having the pedal pushed in, it just loses pressure. If you pump it, it does not build pressure. It actually gets worse. I then have to release it for a few seconds and press again to be able to put it in gear. I checked for leaks when I replaced the slave and found a little fluid around the connection for the clutch pedal pushrod. It was very little but I was wondering if this could still be the problem. There has been a very small amount of fluid loss. The actual clutch and pressure plate are only a couple months old and this problem just started a couple weeks ago. I also tried to bleed air bubbles and that did not help any. Any help, thoughts, suggestions is appreciated.
Leaking fluid is never a good thing. I would pull the lines off and make sure the threads are good on them. If they are I would hit them up with that white plumbers tape stuff but make sure you get the stuff that doesn't mess with "toxic fluids" or whatever. Also, if there's rubber lines (been a while since I've messed with a clutch) make sure they're good. Just because they look good on the outside doesn't meen they're any good on the inside.
