My car's A/C blows cold and consistent. I have never had a problem with the temperature.

The compressor clutch sounds TERRIBLE though. When I run my A/C it sounds like a garbage disposal is on.

When the A/C is off, the car runs and sounds normal.

Is my problem with the Compressor or the Clutch? Part of me thinks that it is the clutch because it only makes noise when the clutch is engaged and the compressor is obviously compressing since I have cold air.

Of course the compressor is only engaged when the clutch is engaged.

Is there a test for this sort of thing?
