Check Engine light
Hi all,
Its me again. Can anyone tell me what the possible causes of the check engine light coming on. Mine comes on but when the battery terminals are taken off, it goes off. It stays off for a day or two and comes back on. Thanks for your assistance |
Something in the engine managment system. Could be anyone of 100's of things. You need to pull the codes. They will atlease tell you what sub system is the issue.

it could be anything, not just O2's could be EGR, could be transmission over temperature, could be a host of things. It needs to be scanned |
Almost any autozone, pep boys, etc. will plug in a scanner for free and tell you what's setting off the check engine light.

I can't find that in his post. Anyway, as you elude, the 94 and 95 LT1's are OBD1 and I know the 95 has an OBD2 connector. I'm not sure about the 94's. If he does have a 95, then an Actron 9145 will read the codes. Most of the parts stores can only read OBD2 |
my 94 camaro has the OBD1 connector it was built in April of 94
