Default Catback exhaust question?

I have a 2002 SS and I wanna upgrade my catback exhaust.I would like some suggestion on what exhaust is the best.I am leaning towards the Borla with the adjustability of it and the warranty.Corsa looks as if they have a nice catback also. Some of the posts I have read appears alot of people have opted for the Magnaflow,I know there not cheap,I just want the best overall one for my car.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

best overall would have to be borla or corsa...with borla you can adjust it as you know, so if it were me, that's what i'd go with

Borla since money isnt a factor. Both are good but adjustable is nice. I would like to get one but I cant part with the many just for a cat back.

Borla is good but so is Magnaflow. I have had a Borla on a 2001 C5 corvette and it sounded decently well. Currently I have a Magnaflow on a 300zx twin turbo and it sounds amazing. In my oppinion I would use Magnaflow. If you find a good exhuast system that keeps the catalytic convertors but has dual piping for 1996 RS let me know. Thanks

Why do you need the cat?

^Emissions. I need my cat in order to pass emissions every year.

Personally, i think the SLP loudmouth 2 sounds great on the LS1's. The LM 1, meh, not so much.

Trust me I want this damn cat off. But emissions is the reason. The car wont pass if it dosen't have cats on it. Luckily my Camaro is a 96 and emission is in less than a month so after that they wont do emission.

I totally agree. I had SLP loudmouth on a 2005 corvette. Loudest car Ive owned. It didnt even have mufflers. It was just striaght pipe. https://camaroforums.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif

I was in the same position trying to find a cat back system. I went with Magnaflow, they're not "very" loud, in fact not much louder than the oem system. Although they sound much cleaner and deeper. They also claim that they can increase your hp by up to 10 percent, which is defedintly a plus. Good luck

...Until your car has to get tested again next year.
