I have a 98 V6 Camaro thats been driving pretty good for the past few weeks. Last night i went to a party and when i was leaving i started my car and it immediately died..embarrassing..but not the point. Tried to start it again and it did the same thing. It starts and when the RPMs are going down to where it would usually idle it just keeps going down then sputters and dies. So I started it and pressed the gas to keep it up and it didnt die so i played with the clutch a little and managed to drive it home that way but as soon as i got home it died again.

I really dont know what could be the problem im always having to change the ignition coils in this car i had to change 1 about 2 weeks ago and a couple months before that so im thinking that may be the problem again but i dont know. Any help please?

 

I checked the coils and they are all sparking so now i know thats not the problem.. im thinking it might be the crankshaft position sensor but i dont really want to waste the money and buy a new 1 if thats not the problem..i replaced it about 6 months ago because i broke the old one while changing the AC compressor.

 

can u get to autozone and have it scanned for trouble codes?
