Still, none of this makes sense because of it running out of gas. It should be a simple matter of filling the tank and firing it back up. It is possible that something else crapped out on you, and it's just a coincidunce that you were also low on gas.

it could be a coincidunce? but it did feel like it ran out of gas...i was just throwing out that i was low on gas as a peice of information to help, the more I/you know the better....

tomorow what im gonna do,

1:check the timing chain
2:test the injector's
3:RE-test the spark, at all plug's
4:RE-test fuel pressure
5:RE-check all fuses
6:replace fuel filter (i have a new one sitting around colecting dust)
7:see if oil smell's like gas/has gas in it (like previously suggested)

anything else i should check? thanks again for the help you guy's

~timing chain- i can see the rocker arms moving
~I took the injector's off and tested them and they are good
~RE-tested the spark- and it's getting good spark
~all fuses are good
~replaced fuel filter
~the oil does smell like gas

my grandpa was here for a few minutes and said that it could be the fuel pump even though it got pressure at first it could be losing pressure once it start's cranking... and he said it sounds like it want's to start...BUT! i dont think its the fuel pump since when i use starting fluid nothing changes....i didn't check the "ignition control module" because i don't know how and my father/grandfather arent here to tell/show me how.. so if anybody knows how to here??

alright, i am pretty sure it is a crank position sensor after reading a few articles and forum post's... let me know if you guys think this could be the problem or not before i go out and waste my money.....

ok pull the fuses for the injectors so they will not shoot anymore fuel to it. punch the thottle to the floor and see if it will start. u may have flooded the heck out of it and with so much fuel in the cylinders they will not fire. i would suspect a stuck injector/s. u really need to get it scanned, check the fuel pressure and change the oil and filter. fuel pressure could be to high. evap could also be an issue. try losening the gas cap to releave the pressure if there is any. what kind of plugs are u using?

u should have a cam sensor and a crank sensor. the cam sensor is used for the ignition system and the crank sensor is used to monitor the cam sensor. again u need to get it scanned. could be the cam sensor or crank sensor or both. could be bad wire to either, could be fowled plugs or a weak spark. without knowing more its hard to tell.

i took out the injector fuses and turned it over quit a few times floored and not floored and didnt work... its only got about 70 miles on the new oil/oil filter change... fuel pressure is 45 and spec. is 41-47.... ACDELCO plugs.... im going to test the cam and crank position sensor in about 4 hours....

so did you take out the s. plugs and see if they smelled like gas? the way that this is goin they shouldnt smell. I had this EXACT same problem, its almost scary. except with mine i did a whole new engine swap, but the reason that mine didnt fire was because of the ICM (ignition control modual) although i dont know if you have done anything in the past that may disrupt this. have you ever done anything under the dash? all fuses good?

did u try this, as i said before it may be a realiable test and may not dont know. just how are u testing all these sensors. if u have gas and spark it should run or at least backfire. take all the plugs out and let it set overnight. see if u can get the gas out of it. fyi if u turn the motor over for like 7 or 10 seconds and it does not start the computer will turn off the fuel to the motor. its supposed to anyways.

if u have gas in the oil u do not want to run that oil in it very long. it all depends on how much gas is in there. i think there are only a few things left so let us know how the sensors test out. u can test the ignition mod but i dont know how reliable the test is. bottom of thread.
