Default Camaro savings

Ok so about a week ago I started putting money away for a 4th generation Camaro. I was wondering how much do you think I should save because I am trying to get a v6 preferably automatic, but I can drive stick if I need to. I was thinking like around $4000 for the LS model. What do you guys think?

What year are you looking at, mileage you are comfortable with, location? Also, there is no LS model, there might be an LS trim level of the base model, but nothing significant in that.

I think maybe he got the V6 mixed up with LS1. $4k should be more than enough for a good, mid-mileaged V6 automatic.

4000 can buy an automatic LS1 car with 100k miles on it, you can buy v6s around here for 2-3k

In reality, I don't think you can use the words "Camaro" and "savings" in the same sentence.
Whatever you wind up getting, and spending, make sure you have some money leftover to cya in case some unforeseen repair sneaks up on you. With an old car, that would happen sooner than later. Nothing worse than looking at your nice "new" car sitting in the drive, as you roll by on roller skates!

I was thinking around 98-2002 with no more than 150k miles, and I live in PA

Haha well I have wanted one since I was seven but haven't really gotten serious until just recently. I planned on trying to keep at least an extra grand for repairs cause I know how used cars work. Right now I got a foreign p.o.s. that I got ripped off for

Yes, but it will most likely be in several pieces and feature a sweet rustoleum paint job.

Ryan, are you prepared to work on your car?

the first $600-$700 will be for the 4 new tires that a $4,000 car needs
