Cam Recommendations
I have a 97 SS, T-56.
I plan on going with the LE-2 package and am looking for the best cam setup to go with. Also being installed are Kooks Long tube headers (unsure of midpipe but don't have to pass emissions tests), MSD ignition, Stock bottom end, Intake ported to 58mm, and a 58mm Throttle Body. Future plans would be to upgrade the gears (3.73, 4.11 undecided) and install some sort of nitrous system.
My car is being used as a weekend car, not being built to be used on a track. I don't have to worry about emissions and since its not a DD fuel mileage isn't a huge concern. I would like to get the best performance possible while keeping it a street car.
Also any informations regarding NOS's throttle body would be appreciated. I have a fair bit of research to do before I start looking into installing any type of system, but would it be worth it to spend the extra money now and have the system available? Would I be able to block off the ports for now? All so what would the TB be a set up for? Wet-shot, dry-shot?

My suggestion (which will most likely be the suggestion made by everyone else here), is to just let Lloyd custom grind a cam for you.
You're already getting a set of his heads, let him make you a cam that will match the setup he's helping you to put together! And while you're at it, just have him port your intake out to 58 mm. Don't buy a new one...

i agree with rob here...talk to lloyd about your cam choice...he's going to give you the best information about what cam to select with the goals you have in mind. is your car an auto? i'm guessing so since you're talking 3:73 gears...in which case you will want a higher stall torque converter otherwise you will be stuck with a small cam. look into a yank ss3600
