Default a/c problem

My 95 Z28 a/c has always worked great until this year. I noticed that the compressor is not engauging. I have done a search here and it sounds like its either low on R134 or low pressure switch. I put a gauge on it and it shows approx. 60psi on both sides. Is that enough pressure? Also where is the low pressure switch located? Thanks, Jeff

I'm not sure if that's enough refrigerant. Anyways, the switch is on the line. Just trace it around and look for a plug and wires sticking into it.

Refer to a decent repair manual for the correct amount of refrigerant. And if your compressor is not engaged, you will always get a pressure indication of roughly the same value on either side, as there's no pressure differential. Check to see if the clutch is in good condition or if the clutch relay is working.

Is the low pressure switch the 3 wires in the middle of the bottom line? How do you tell if the clutch relay is working? I found the relay and swaped it out with another one and on difference.
