Depends on how much money you have. I was thinking of going with a 315/35/17 in the back on my car, but the cost of the one rear tire was going to be almost as much as both of the 274/40's in the front. I personally don't think it will look good with 18's and 19's, I think 19's are too big. Also consider that the shorter sidewall you get the rougher the ride is going to be and the more likely you are to bend a rim on an unexpected pot hole.

I just caught that you asked what kind of tire you should get. If I were to go with new tires (yes, I bought used tires, they're a great deal especially if you can find some that are barely used...) I would probably get Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval's if I didn't have to drive in snow or anything.

Thanks forthr info. For the money part... I sold a motorcycle to this 20 year old kid who was loaded, asked him what he did an he said he owned a rim shop here in central Fl. I didn't really buy it till he gave me his card, and thats when I proceeded to pretty much give a motorcycle away... Making sure that he understood he owed me one. So I'll get a really good deal. As far as the 19's and the 18's you're probably right as far as the smoothness of the ride goes, I just got this ground effects kit and I just don't think the wheels look big enough. So we'll have to see. But thank you guys for the advice. Please give more about the size. Send me a PM with pics if anybody runs larger wheels than the stockers. Don't want to hijack this guys thread too much longer.

Spec: Cran is running C6 replicas. All the replica wheels are made to fit both F-bodies and the Corvettes. Any late model Corvette wheel will fit in the wheel well, but if you get actual C5 take-offs you need to grind the hub just slightly to get the wheel to mount correctly.

I'm putting my C-5 wheels on my son's 2002 Camaro SS. Will I have to do anything to the car for them to fit? Thanks for any help...........bob.

Are they a wheel that was actually taken off of a C5, or are they a replica?

I try to be fast...

Check your PM, you have a specific answer there, more generally, yes you will have to modify the rear wheels in order to make them fit.

If they are factory C6 Z06 wheels, they would be 18' in Front and 19's in back.

This is a great wheel/tire calculator.

i have 245/50r16 (i think?) firestone firehawk wide oval tires all around my 00 z28. they are an excellent tire so far... no problems, decent ride, grip really well.... i would suggest them to anybody. the only thing that made me hesitant to buying them was some dealers for the tire claimed they were being discontinued next year but who cares and plus idk if its even true (some said it was false).
